Latest release: Isabel 4.11.r1-24 (and 4.10.r0-34)

Isabel 4.11 is distributed as a live CD based on Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10. This Isabel Ubuntu Live CD can run without hard disk installation: you can just boot from the CD, and connect to an Isabel session or start up a demo session to evaluate Isabel.

Hard disk installation is made when the live version is running by clicking on the installation button in the desktop.

Isabel 4.11.r1-24 also includes version 4.10.r0-34, such that this version can be used to connect with session servers running Isabel 4.11 and 4.10. To change version use the command: 

   Applications -> 
      Isabel -> 
         Utilities -> 
             Select Isabel Version

To prepare the CD, download the Live Ubuntu Isabel CD v4.11.r1-24 image (md5sum) and burn a CD. The CD includes Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10, Isabel (versions 4.10.r0-34 and 4.11.r1-24), and a demo license! Find installation instructions and the rest of the documentation for Isabel 4.10. Documentation for Isabel 4.11 will be soon available.

Advanced users only.

For advanced users, a Ubuntu repository is also available. Add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

  • Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 distribution: 
      deb http://www.agora-2000.com/ubuntu/ dapper extras
  • Ubuntu Edgy 6.10 distribution: 
      deb http://www.agora-2000.com/ubuntu/ edgy extras
  • Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 distribution:

  • Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 distribution:

... and download the following GPG key and add it to you apt keyring using: 

   apt-key add isabel.gpg

Isabel 4.11 features.
